Congratulations to Meshack Williams for his leadership on the football field.
"Worth County defensive end Meshack Williams has a reputation for leaving opponents and fans in awe.
“(Teams) always know who he is,” Worth County defensive coordinator Jason Nash said.
Knowing is one thing.
The trouble is, they don’t know how to stop him.
He pressures opposing quarterbacks within seconds. He runs down ball carriers on the other side of the field. He is involved in so many plays his name is rolling off the public address announcer’s tongue by mid-first quarter.
And it also shows up plenty in the statistics.
The senior defensive end has recorded 11.5 sacks in four games this season — just 3.5 sacks less than his total last year.
“It’s amazing to watch on game film how teams have to change their game plan just to double team him,” Worth County coach Harris Rainbow said. “There’s just no way they can block him one-on-one.”
But that’s just Williams on Fridays. Try lining up against the speed rusher every day in practice like his Rams teammates.
“He’s a beast,” teammate and cornerback Laquan Evans said. “Every day he impresses us. He can’t be blocked. And he can do everything.” "
